- HQC paint is an ideal product for exterior work. Suitable for DIY and professionals. It’s a water-based paint that adds water protection and reduce moss, lichen and algae.
- Great opacity, non-dripping paint, that’s why it’s good for DIY, great adhesion to the surface and has low odour.
- Formulated to protect exterior walls against extreme weather conditions.
- Once fully cured, HQC will prevent water from penetrating the wall surface whilst still allowing water vapour to pass. This means residual dampness within the wall can evaporate.
- A wet wall is a cold wall! For example, a wet fletton brick is half as thermally efficient as a dry one. By keeping the building materials dry, HQC Weathershield minimises heat loss on masonry walls.

This stuff is awesome in that it’s so gloopy, one coat has seemed to do my balcony. Happy days! Also a beautiful shade of pale baby boy blue. Which, hopefully, the locals and tourists won’t think is a bad colour for my balcony which overlooks the bay. I won’t even hang my washing out there 🤭😆 my mates call me a snob hahaha 🤣 But this paint is fabulous. Totally recommend and I would surely buy again. My only gripe is I wanted 2.5L but had to buy 5L. Hopefully I can use the rest for my kitchen, so happy days. It’s great. Thank you. ☺️

Used for external walls. Hadn’t painted walls in ten yrs and refused to pay extortionate price quoted. So decided to do the painting myself. Chose this paint as it isn’t watery, easy to apply with a roller and brush for finishing touch. Took me two weekends to complete. Only needed one coat and it is an excellent result. Saved a lot of money and for me it is an excellent product.

Best masonry paint I have used. It covers so well, I bought 5 litres and managed to cover the back of a rough textured terraced house and still have a third of a can left. Sandtex used to take 2 coats to do the same job, so probably works out the same price, but half the labour. Ignore the other review about durability, they probably didn't clean off algae or dirt beforehand. Our paint has been through a few torrential downpours and is just fine. I won't be going back to Sandtex!
