I have used two tins of this paint and I would not recommend it. I found that when the weather is sunny it turns gloopy, dries far too quickly and clogs the paint brush making it a nightmare to clean off said paint brush.. It's more like using oil-based paint and so unlike water based. It also drips readily! I found the same with this brands tile paint which is too thick, runs, and sticks to the paint brush. I only bought it because I liked the colour and with ignorance of my later findings. As an alternative to this Ronseal paint (and for their tile paint) I would recommend Johnstones paints. The latter are thinner, go on smoother, do not run, and give just as pleasing a finish. You may need to use an additional coat of paint as I did on the tiles but its worth it for certain. An alternative, although a bit more expensive is the Dulux brand (an old faithful).

Paint seemed a bit thin but obviously I was covering a light colour, after 2 coats it was fine but just gave it a 3rd coat for good measure. I was happy with the coverage of the paint
