The first thing I noted with these acoustic sound panels is that they are rigid but do have some sponginess to them. I haven't done this myself, but with these properties I believe you'd be able to cut these (perhaps with a jigsaw) to fit into oddly shaped corners. These come with 60 square double sided sticky pads which are incredibly sticky. I only 4 on each and that was more than enough to hold these and has also left me with 12 spare for other house projects! These are intended to be put up one way; as one side is completely flat whereas the other side has a sloped towards the edges. I picked these up as a semi-decorative solution to reducing echoes in my office. For that purpose, these have definitely worked as testified by my colleagues on Teams calls! I then also picked up another pack for the wall that holds my TV and joins this room onto our main bedroom. There is definitely a reduction in sound from there (my partner is no longer complaining AS MUCH about late PlayStation nights!) but don't expect miracles. The item description says these reduce by 35 decibels which is comparable in volume to whispers. I'd definitely recommend these if you're in a similar position and looking for an aesthetic solution to improving echoey rooms. However, if you're looking for proper sound proofing then you will need to spend much more.

I got these as my office has had some issues with echoing and I wanted to test how effective these were. I got both these and the ones without the self adhesive which are sold by the same vendor. The panels from the seller are decently thick compared to some other brands. They are soft and spongy. The overall surface finish is good and there was no obvious defects. The self adhesive is easy to install but make sure you have the right spacing. I made marks on the wall before sticking these down as the test one I did, it stuck down pretty hard and was quite difficult to remove. After sticking them on the wall, I knew this was going to be their home for a while! The sound dampening was pretty good. While there wasn't a massive reduction in the overall sound level of the room, there was a massive change in the echo of the room. It basically eliminated it entirely. I was very impressed as I had only placed these on the larger wall. These do work when placed on an open wall without things in front of them. I tried this on the large wall and the wall behind my computer monitor. While there was still some sound reduction, there was far less because of things obstructing it. I tested these and ones without the self adhesive. While they are basically the same product but one having a strong adhesive, I can say that if you are wanting to move them or live in rented accomidation, you will want to look towards the ones without the adhesive. These were a little more difficult to remove and on my matte wall, stuck quite hard. The non self adhesive ones were only held on my little stickers and could be pulled off without too much effort. overall, whichever you go for, these do the job!

In a nutshell: Things I liked: + They look good - perhaps not entirely as I expected them to look, but they do look fine. I expected them to look more like a solid foam, but they are actually slightly cotton-wooly, if that makes sense. + They are well made and the hexagonal shapes tessellate fine. They're easy to put up, too. + Sound dampening seems to work pretty well. Bear in mind that these are not for full-on soundproofing, but for dampening sounds within a room that has hard walls and experiences sound reflections. These do a good job of dampening those sound reflections. + Fair value at around £19 for 12. Things I didn't like: - Nothing in particular. Do I recommend it? Yes, absolutely, as long as you're only looking to either have them as decorative items or to dampen sound reflections.

If like me noise bothers you, you'll be on the lookout for things that can reduce noise levels in your home but not compromise on your style, well look no further!! From the internet: "Acoustic panels are designed to reduce noise levels and eliminate echoes in a room. It works by absorbing sound waves and preventing them from reflecting off of hard surfaces. This can help to create a more pleasant and less noisy environment." These Acoustic Panels come in a pack of 12 with included adhesive labels to enable you to attach them to your desired wall. The colour is light grey with darker grey strands running through them, a bit like a synthetic marbled effect. They are made from very dense hard fibres and you can tell they will reduce noise straight away. How you use them is up to you, you could cover a whole wall which would optimise noise reduction from outside, noise absorption from inside and also look really stylish, especially if you use a combination of different colours. They would also go well in a child's playroom, to reduce noise of course but also to soften any hard walls to reduce the risk of injury. Your children would love them no doubt, they're very tactile!! I've used all 12 next to my work desk as a cool little design feature, I'm sure they're dampening sound a bit but I know I'd need more to make a big difference in sound levels. My advice, get yourself a pack of twelve, experiment, see if you like them and then buy more!
