Rempro 4 x 400ml DPC Damp Proofing Course Cream - Barrier Treatment & Control of Rising Damp in Walls - BBA Certified

£38.91
  • STOP RISING DAMP - Rempro DPC Cream is an advanced silicone emulsion cream specifically used to control rising damp in all types of masonry walls within properties. Once the cream has been injected into the wall, an effective physical barrier is created to prevent the effects of rising damp, typically known as a damp proof course.
  • BBA CERTIFIED - This product has been extensively tested and approved by the BBA (British Board of Agrement) for use within both new and existing properties. The certification is a vital ingredient for acceptance with specifiers, building control, local authorities & insurers. Agrément Certificate 19/5657.
  • EASY TO INSTALL - Our product is easy to use and requires only a drill and caulking gun for installation. Users should drill 12mm diameter holes horizontally into the mortar joint at a maximum of 120mm centres and to a depth of 10-20mm from the opposite face and 150mm above ground level. Salt contaminated plasterwork should be renewed. Comprehensive instructions are included within the kit.
  • LONG-LASTING PROTECTION - Excluding use in new repair work (where highly alkaline mortars are present), the product will remain effective for at least 20 years. Installation of Rempro DPC Cream is by applicator gun. Installation must follow BS 6576:2005 and the Property Care Association Code of Practice requirements for Installation Remedial Damp-proof Courses in Masonry Walls.
  • UK MANUFACTURED - Rempro is a family-owned company specialising in building chemicals for remedial control and prevention. Our products include damp proofing treatments, insecticidal and fungicide control, path patio cleaners and anti-condensation thermal paints. Reasonably cheap product, however it is rather Thin Consistency, should be more like Toothpaste. My advise is Check out best prices for the DPC CREAM STICKS, less mess and just cut them off if nesc, pre cut them short so they leave a gap at the top of the hole to plug it with mortar etc. Or you could ream out a space to plug the Hole by using 12MM Drill bit and twisting it in with your fingers. You can use plastic plugs with the cream but the sticks won't squash down as easy ? The modern trend is to re mortar not plastic plugs on the outside wall. However under internal plaster its a quicker turn around to plastic plug the drill holes and Stablize Sealer Coat over the Bare Brickwork ready for Re Plastering. REMEMBER, your NOT SUPPOSED to DRILL completely through into the WALL CAVITY ? you only drill 3/4 into the joint Mortar, not the Bricks. However as a DIY its inevitable you will OOPSY DAISY. REMEMBER when the cream dissolves and soaks into the mortar, the drill hole will reopen up so Moisture from the Cavity can creep up behind the new Plaster work and course Damp Patches ? That's why I recommend plastic plugs on internal walls, tap them in Half way so the seal off the Drill Holes and Provide a Fixing Anchor for your new COURSE UNDERCOAT PLASTER. I think most DIY come backs and the return of Damp Patches are coursed by drill holes going into the Cavity not being Capped off and just Plasterd over ?
